Welcome to UNE MOSAIC!
What We Are
UNE MOSAIC (Multicultural and Overseas Students Association for Interculturalism and Collaboration) is a student-driven club dedicated to bringing together international, domestic, and multicultural students at UNE. Like a mosaic, every piece adds something unique to the bigger picture. UNE Mosaic aims to be a vibrant community for multicultural and overseas students to connect, share, and grow together. Beyond building friendships, this club will also streamline important information that affects overseas students and serve as an avenue to raise issues that matter to us.
Filling the Gap
Belonging & Support: International students often juggle work, studies, and visa requirements—MOSAIC offers a welcoming peer network.
Mutual Learning: We go beyond passive tolerance of cultures as we encourage active participation and understanding of diverse cultures.
Advocacy: As a united student body, we help identify and address issues affecting overseas students, ensuring no one’s concerns go unheard.
Our Aims
Avenue for Connection - Providing opportunities for international and multicultural students to meet, interact, and build friendships.
Intercultural Exchange - Creating a safe space for sharing cultures while also listening and learning from others.
Advocacy and Representation - Serving as a collective voice to raise and address concerns affecting students within the university.
Information Hub - Streamlining and circulating important information relevant to international students such as Visa or Immigration information.
Networking and Opportunities - Facilitating collaboration, professional networking, and sharing job opportunities among students.
Promoting Active Interculturalism - Encouraging meaningful engagement with diverse cultures as an active exchange, rather than just passive tolerance, to enrich the broader Australian community
